Churches Helping Churches

NCBA voted at the 2021 Annual Meeting to adopt a church in south Louisiana who had suffered destruction and devastation from Hurricane Ida this year.  Much of south Louisiana was totally destroyed.

The name of our adoptee is "Christ Baptist Church" in Houma.  A visit has been made to the church, pictures have been taken to share, and we are getting ready to dispatch a team of volunteers to lend a hand.

Donations are being collected to assist Christ Baptist Church in rebuilding and restoring their facilities to be used again in worshipping our Lord and reaching others for Him.

If a church or individual would like to donate to this effort, the funds may be sent to our office (P.O. Box 159, Jonesboro, LA  71251).  The check can be made payable to NCBA with a notation for Christ Baptist Church.

God commands us to love others. One of the most simple ways to love is by helping when we see someone in need. Whether it is our time, money, or energy, giving to help someone in need is a mark of a mature Christian. We also find that helping others is a blessing to ourselves. Plus, you never know when you will be the one in need. Scripture tells us that we reap what we sow and that there are blessings for those who seek a life of serving and loving others.

God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him

as you have helped his people and continue to help them.          Hebrews 6:10
