Operation Christmas Child - Processing Center in Dallas, TX
Serve with Samaritan’s Purse as an Operation Christmas Child volunteer seasonal employee, and you will work side-by-side with thousands of other volunteers to help bring Jesus’ love to children around the world. When you work in one of eight processing centers, you help facilitate the processing and preparing of millions of shoeboxes for distribution to children in need. You are acting as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ to bring joy to children, families, and communities.
The third week in November, shoeboxes are collected that are filled with school supplies, toys, and hygiene items packed by individuals and church groups across the nation. From late-November to mid-December, the processing centers prepare these shoebox gifts for international shipment to church partners, who distribute these gifts to children during Gospel-focused community events.
It’s way more than packing boxes. Each box is prayed over and for the child who would receive the box. Every volunteer wants each shoebox to show a child that someone cares about them.
